Resonance
Sometimes, someone comes into your life, and they resonate so much its as though... You've met her already
Flaming hair across the floor,
In a step or two some kind of beautiful
My mind flew
I looked and looked some more
Have I seen this, have I seen - her - before?
Eye contact, we'd seen each other
A blur
The rest a mess
Carefree, almost careless
Yet careful
Sunlight flickering
Through the beams, and the dust
Filtering, playing, dancing
With the shadows cast
The invisible - trying
To say let go,
Let go of the past
I heard buscandote
In the hallway
I made my way
Into the fray
Searching, if I may
Just for today
For the soft
'Ey'
We danced to the old and we danced to the new
Paying homage to the tried and tested and the true
Poems of the old, lent voice by strings
Tales of nostalgia becoming sweet little nothings
Steps, once self-important
Now less
And more
And once more
We headed to the floor
Another vals
A beautiful chaos
